How will you contribute to our success?

  • Lead and support the Crewing Team to deliver an efficient, responsive service for our vessels and seafarers
  • Coach and guide crew coordinators in their day-to-day responsibilities, helping the team perform at its best
  • Shape effective workforce plans by matching qualified, experienced personnel to vessels in line with CSL procedures, Enterprise Agreements, employment conditions, and certification requirements
  • Coordinate seamless crew changes and rotations, ensuring timely relief while balancing operational needs and costs
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for officers and shipboard personnel across casual and permanent opportunities
  • Provide advice and guidance to Senior Crew on performance management and disciplinary issues related to crew.
  • Champion seafarer development by coordinating training, maintaining records, sharing regulatory updates, and planning appropriate relief
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date shipboard personnel records in the crewing information system to support confident decision-making, reporting, and regulatory compliance
  • Support accurate, timely payroll by maintaining crew records and timesheets and approving the Crewing Team’s reconciliations and documentation

The skills you will bring to our team

  • Maritime and human resources experience, ideally with exposure to crewing and workforce planning
  • Experience working in a unionised environment, with a sound understanding of Enterprise Agreements and award conditions
  • A proactive, organised approach and the ability to plan confidently across competing priorities
  • An engaging leadership style that brings out the best in others
  • The adaptability and sound judgement to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to service
