How will you contribute to our success?

  • Ensure companies procedures and safety standards are maintained onboard the ships by proper familiarization to the crew, routine inspections onboard and active participation in near miss reviews
  • In conjunction with the crewing department ensure the vessel is always properly manned. Attend monthly crewing meetings and provide assistance to the crewing department as required in order to maintain the overall crew planning for the entire fleet
  • Ensure Senior officers receive proper familiarisation to perform their onboard duties and do match the vessels overall operational requirements. Conduct Senior Officer performance appraisals as per companies SMS system
  • Plan, control and execute of all activities connected with maintenance, repairs, survey and certificate requirements, dry docking, conversions or modification of assigned vessels
  • Visit the vessels at regular intervals and follow the fleet inspection plan in order to verify and report the vessels general condition, repairs and maintenance schedule, crew performance, compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The skills you will bring to our team

  • Onboard experience in the rank as Senior Officer position is desirable
  • Min. 2 years experience in the role as Jr. Technical Superintendent, MSQ Superintendent or previous experience in a Senior engineering or Naval Architect position in the Marine Industry
  • Proficient computer skills & in-depth knowledge of MS office, Powerpoint and especially Excel
  • Financial awareness and ability to administer technical and budget requirements
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with all departments within the company
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
