How will you contribute to our success?

  • Provide effective motivation of the crew in compliance with its Policy
  • The safe, efficient and economical operation of all machinery; the Chief Engineer will additionally ensure that the Preventative Maintenance working instructions relating to ISM “Critical Parts and Systems” or “Standard Preventative Maintenance” Certify that critical operations are continually verified
  • The proper maintenance of all deck machinery, self-unloading machinery, propulsion, steering and auxiliary machinery together with associated control systems
  • The maneuvering of the main engine(s) as directed from the bridge  
  • The keeping of proper Classification and Administration records and log books within his department
  • The prevention of an response to oil pollution from the vessel
  • The monitoring of bunkers and lubricants with respect to both quantity and quality

The skills you will bring to our team

  • Fully certified in accordance with the requirements of the type, trading limitations and flag state requirements of the vessel.
  • ISM General training
  • Strong interpersonal and management skill
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently   
  • Ability to manage projects and budgets
  • Good sense of initiative and results oriented
