Overview

CSL Australia is currently looking for a Deck Cadet to join the Cadetship program. This is a unique opportunity that offers a combined study and work program where you can complete your Bachelor of Nautical Science through the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania and get work experience to complete your prescribed sea time.

How will you contribute to our success?

Criteria for the Application

 

  • You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nautical Science at the Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania;
  • Provide Year 12 academic result or further education transcript.
  • Describe or list any extracurricular activities
  • Have already completed your Pre-Sea training;
  • MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain)
  • Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
  • Australian Citizen or Unlimited Working Rights (required)
  • Living in Australia

The skills you will bring to our team

Cadets will be required to have:

 

  • A passion for working at sea
  • The ability to work at sea for extended periods of time (6-12 weeks)
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Self motivated, mature and responsible attitude
